Joyce Leung Lilly is a Doctor of Acupuncture and a Licensed Acupuncturist in New York State. After honing her skill set in New York City, she now has a successful practice in the town of Newburgh, NY.
Joyce is trained in both Integrative and Chinese Medicine. She received her board certification through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Joyce obtained her Master degree in Classical Chinese Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science, NY, and her Doctorate of Acupuncture degree from Pacific College of Health and Science, CA.
Joyce treats men's and women’s health conditions, as well as their emotional well being. She manages a wide range of concerns – from recovery from Bell’s palsy and stroke, persistent headaches, TMJ syndrome, general pain conditions, insomnia, fertility enhancement, emotional imbalances, and stress related ailments. She provides acupuncture for the relief of physical and emotional pain. Pain is a chemical alarm signal that our brains send out to alert us that something is wrong. Acupuncture addresses the imbalances that cause the pain, while simultaneously switching off that chemical signal to allow the body time to reset and heal itself.
During her holistic and integrative healthcare training, Joyce completed internships at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Lutheran Hospital specializing in Stroke Rehabilitation, and Labor and Delivery. She also completed an internship at NYU Langone's Initiative for Women with Disabilities, and spent extensive time working at the Yonkers Riverside Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center.
She has a strong interest in working on uniting the Mind-Body-Spirit connection as a root to treating diseases and related disorders.
Our bodies are adept at repairing itself. It is our lifestyles & personal habits that prevent optimal healing from taking place. Modalities such as Acupuncture, Trigger Point therapy, Gua Sha and Cupping are all recruited to help the body's natural ability to repair itself.
The practice of Mindfulness improves inner clarity, & enhances the immune system. It reduces one's perception of pain, and quells anxieties. Mindfulness focuses not just on physical wellness, but also the interconnectedness of the mind & emotions.
Many illnesses manifest through the accumulation of toxins from our foods & our environments. Replacing unhealthy foods with cleaner, more organically grown options and natural plant remedies aids the body in healing itself and preventing future disease.
